Our client, a well-established retail design specialist in Leicestershire, has a great opportunity for a Junior/Graduate 3D Concept Designer to join one of the industry’s leading teams.
 
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with some of the of the world’s biggest brands.
 
This role will suit a recent Graduate looking to commence their career or a Junior who already has some experience under their belt and is looking for the next step in their career. You will be highly motivated and passionate about design.
 
Reporting to the Concept Design Manager, you will be supported and given guidance to progress in the role.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Take design briefs from senior Design team, Account Managers and directly from clients.
Conduct research, relevant to the brief, taking into account the brand, customer, marketplace and competitor landscape.
Generate creative concept design ideas through sketching, CAD modelling and visualisation.
Attend internal design review meetings to present, discuss, and take feedback on your designs.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure designs can be achieved as closely to the conceived designs as possible.
 
Key Requirements.
An interest in marketing and brand communications.
Naturally curious and open-minded, with an ability to think creatively and a willingness to question convention.
An interest in design trends and innovation in design-related industries.
An appreciation for sustainability and the role that it plays in the design process.
Confident communicator, able to present your concepts and verbalise your thought process.
A good listener, able to take direction and understand the point of view of others.
Ability to communicate ideas through freehand sketching and rendering ability is important.
Proficiency in 3DS Max/V-Ray and Adobe CC is essential; SketchUp experience would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
A basic understanding of the materials, processes and construction methods required to execute and deliver your proposed designs.
A willingness to collaborate, and work as part of a highly-motivated, passionate team of concept designers.
Calm, positive attitude and approach to your work.
Hardworking, with a strong work ethic; willing to deal with new challenges.
A real desire to learn and take direction from senior team members.
Proactive, adaptable and flexible to meet the demands of our industry.
An absolute passion for design, both in and out of work.
 
This is offered as a full-time permanent job and our client requires someone who is happy to work onsite.
