Our client, a small but perfectly formed PR Agency in Derbyshire, has a fantastic opportunity for a PR Account Manager to join their expanding team.
 
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role within an agency environment and be looking to take on their next challenge.
 
As you will be working on a mix of PR and social media accounts, experience of working in both of these areas is essential.
 
Excellent copywriting skills are also essential, as is a solid understanding of how to use social media platforms proficiently and the know-how to build and maintain relationships with the media.
 
You’ll be the main contact for your own portfolio of clients across all stages of activity from PR strategy, planning and research, to implementing and writing, through to reporting and analysis.
 
One day you’ll be working on brand partnerships, the next you’ll be proposing seasonal articles and then writing expert tips and commentary to fulfil media requests. All while juggling multiple projects, meeting deadlines and managing the workflow of account executives.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing workflow to ensure all activity is delivered to the highest standard from securing features and writing copy, to liaising with media and external parties to arranging and managing partnerships and securing coverage.
Building relationships with clients, and maintaining a solid network of contacts including journalists, influencers and industry figures to do all that you can to get their clients’ names out there.
Providing innovative and creative ideas, as well as strategic advice to clients.
Identifying target audiences and suggesting the best fit for clients.
Developing news angles stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services.
Fulfilling and reporting on clients’ key performance indicators.
 
Key Requirements:
Proven account management and client liaison experience, gained within a PR agency.
Experience of research, press release writing, media list management, media relations, coverage logging and analysis are essential.
Experience of devising and implementing PR and activity plans from scratch.
Experience of social media management.
Experience of having worked with consumer brands and securing plenty of features and coverage.
A dedicated, passionate and committed work ethos.
An impressive way with words.
The ability to build rapport with clients, journalists and colleagues.
Excellent time management and impressive organisation skills.
Ability to think strategically and commercially to recognise what is in the best interests of clients, but also the agency’s development.
Experience of managing account executives.
A love of to-do lists.
Ability to whizz your way around Excel and PowerPoint.
